DRIVING DIRECTIONS TO CAMP  KREM

ARRIVAL TIME ON FIRST DAY OF CAMP: After 1:00 pm, (no sooner please) on (first day of session). Please make sure your camper has something to eat before arrival time at camp. We do not serve lunch on this first day.  

PICK-UP TIMES LAST DAY:  Between 10:00 am & 12:00 Noon. 

12:00 noon is the LATEST time to pick up. 

 
Please follow the instructions below. Please do not use computer maps that route you through Bear Creek Road. This is a very windy, long and narrow road.

 From the East Bay:   Take Hwy. 880 South to San Jose. In San Jose 880 becomes Hwy 17.  Follow Hwy 17 toward    Santa Cruz.  (see below)  

 From San Francisco:Take Hwy. 280 South to Hwy. 85. Take Hwy. 85 (toward Gilroy) to Hwy. 17. Take Hwy. 17 toward Santa Cruz. (see  below) or take 280 to 17.

 
ONCE YOUR ARE ON HWY 17.  Follow Hwy 17 through the Santa Cruz Mountains. (great roads but there is often heavy traffic though the Santa Cruz Mountains). Take Mt. Hermon/Glen Canyon  Road Exit. Head right on Mt. Hermon Road going through the town of Scott’s Valley. Follow Mt. Hermon Road until you reach a T-intersection at Graham Hill Road. Turn right. At next signal, (2  blocks away), is Hwy 9.  Turn right at the signal and follow Hwy 9 for 6 miles into the town of Boulder Creek.  Boulder Creek has one stop sign at the intersection of Hwy 9 and Hwy 236, (also Big  Basin Way). You will see  a gas Station (only one in town). Turn left onto Big Basin Way for about  1 & 1/2 miles.  You will see  flashing yellow lights.  The road makes a sharp left over a small ” bridge”.  Immediately after the bridge , look to the left and you will see the Camp Krem sign.  Our road is to the LEFT of that sign.  Follow our narrow, windy driveway to the top of the hill. Drive slowly (10 mph) and beep your  horn at the blind curves in case someone is coming down. A vehicle heading uphill has right of way. San Francisco is about 90 minutes from Camp Krem.
